In the past, wallpaper would be used on every single surface, to create a cohesive and contained finish, but now, something far more exciting is occurring. Instead of having to commit to wall-to-wall sameness, people are increasingly following the lead of inspired interior designers and choosing to use wallpaper on one single surface, as a dramatic focal point and central feature.
Brown isn't the cosy steadfast bedroom colour that you might have thought, as apparently it can feel isolating, uneasy and even lead to restlessness! We think that it can still work, if you balance the darkness out properly, but en masse, it could be a little much.
A blue bedroom will, according to studies, get you that little bit closer to a recommended eight hours of uninterrupted sleep and leave you feeling calmer too! This one isn't just hearsay though, as receptors in our eyes are most sensitive and attuned to blue. You might even have lower blood pressure as well!
Nothing ties a room together quite like a rug and that goes double in a bedroom! Offering just the right amount of warmth and softness underfoot, a cleverly-placed rug will lessen the blow of early mornings and cold floors, while also looking beautiful!
