One thing to consider, though, is the design of the rest of your home. For instance, if your home is slick and full of glass and stainless steel, you might not want a wood-burning cookstove. There are many things that affect the style of a kitchen design, which we will touch on later in the article.
Grid motifs are everywhere! Often seen in black, the contrast of a black grid in window muntins, glass cabinet doors, pantry doors, framework surrounding an island or designed into other cabinet sections such as legs, defines form. It’s also a nod to a lite industrial look.
Set a budget that is comfortable for you, and remember that it will likely be recouped upon resale of your home. It is not recommended that you spend over 50% of your home’s value on a kitchen renovation, though. Spending that much on a bespoke kitchen may make it look flawless and professional, but it is not a smart investment.
When you’re planning your kitchen design, consider whether it’s worth splurging to open up or expand your kitchen. If you’re working on a tight budget, you’re better off making the most of your existing space. Never underestimate the power of a small kitchen and a great contractor!
